Billys panpizza ska från fryst tillstånd vara färdiglagad på två minuter i mikrovågsugn. Min är fryst i mitten efter 9 minuter, och naturligtvis torrbränd i kanterna. Dessutom luktar den syrligt. På ICA måste jag leta en armslängd ned för att hitta otinad mat. Jag hatar att inte kunna äta utan att bli sjuk. Och ska det förresten vara 12 grader varmt i en kyldisk? Båda butiker är lika illa.

I cooked today, ovenbaked vegetables. Here’s the recipe Rusty. It’s for two persons, Jenny made it when we were broke.

8 potatoes
3 carrots
2 small onions (or 1 huge)

butter (butter/oil mix is good)
salt
white pepper

Turn on the oven, 225°C (437°F I think). Brush potatoes and carrots, peel all vegetables. Chop everything into good bite-pieces, keeping the carrots smaller than the potatoes since they’re harder and take longer time to soften. The onion-pieces can be large, they shrink in the heat. Butter an oven-safe pan and put the vegetables in it, season with white pepper and a little too much salt. If you like, you can add unpeeled wedges of garlic. Into the oven for around 45-50 minutes, mix after 25-30 minutes. Check the carrots, when they’re soft it’s done.

This is cheap, root fruits and onions are among the cheapest foods, especially in autumn. It’s also easy and healthy and tasty!
