Sit in the mountain
31 mars, 2006
This new style wasn’t thought to look springy, but now it does. It’s snowing and has been for days with short breaks. Everything’s a problem, nothing’s good anymore. Today I tend to the most necessary of many queued göromål. Cappuccino keeps me up, and lots of Devin Townsend. I’ve said it so many times yet I can’t seem to realise it when needed – washing the dishes isn’t too bad once I get started, it’s almost a bit nice. I got a huge questionnaire from Landstinget Västernorrland and Statens folkhälsoinstitut via Statistiska centralbyrån today, about fair healthcare. The income-tax return form came too but I’m too tired to understand what it says. It’ll have to wait, I think it has some bad data.
I’ll brush the toilet now.
Celebration

We saw the northern lights, they were highly active across the northern half the bowl. A ninety-minute walk in the night was good.
Annoyances and little things
14 mars, 2006
The floor is so cold. It’s cold, so my feet get moist and socks wet. So I change to woolsocks, and it’s still too cold. I put the ordinary socks ontop of the woolsocks and it itches, I put the woolsocks on the outside instead and the cotton socks still get wet. This problem wouldn’t exist if the floor wasn’t so cold, if it wasn’t so windy in here.
It’s small too, we have much too much furniture and things to fit into this little hole. The neighbours are idiots, the building isn’t soundproof so we can’t play music and I can’t get away from the computer’s roaring and panting. It’s like a small aeroplane right beside me. The direct surroundings are rather nice though, both in summer and winter. Open areas are nice if real mountains aren’t available, and the little brook (I think it’s Gerestabäcken) is very pleasant as it’s not noisy but constantly silently rippling. It’s fascinating to see the waterlevel rising when it’s warmer in winter or rainier in summer and then sink again when it’s drier.
I still feel like I’m waiting for something that won’t come any time soon. I’m thinking more of the north again, as times are changing (vårvinter is definitely here now) yet life seems to stagnate. I’m not sure I can even say I have hope anymore.
Anyway, I recommend Howard Shore – A Conspiracy Unmasked (from The Lord of the Rings – the Fellowship of the Ring 3CD version, 2005) to keep you company in the night.
